So last week was so so so busy for me, so I really relied on music to get me through it.
Here's what I listened to!
Enjoy :)
ps- T.Swift just released her new album as I'm sure you're all aware, but because of copyright, I can't find any good videos to post. My recommendations would be "Welcome to New York," "Style," and "Blank Space," if I had to choose just a few. :)
I hope you all had great long weekends! I went apple picking with my friends, celebrated my friend's birthday, and then went to the Bastille concert! It was a weekend for the books!
I actually vlogged apple picking and the concert, which I will link here (I still have to edit the concert vlog as it was just yesterday but I'll link to the apple picking one)!
So this semester is a bit of a struggle...already. Music is definitely getting me through it though. It's amazing how just listening to a particular song on my way to class can completely change my mood.
So, I though this week I would share some of those songs with you guys.
I hope they can lift your spirits on those tough days :)
(I don't know why everyone is fussing about this U2 album....I wasn't even a fan before and now I am because of this album....anyway I think it's quite good!)
I had to....it's just SO catchy! And it definitely a feel-good song :)
It's the night before I begin my junior year of college (university...whatever you call it in your country!) and summer is officially coming to a close.
As I type this, I have exactly 5 minutes to spare... so sad.
(wipes tear)
No, but really, this summer has been such an amazing journey for me, and I spent it making great memories meeting new people and exploring new things. It was an unforgettable summer (no, literally. Bc I vlogged it www.youtube.com/monicamendoza27)
But alas, here are my last music picks of summer 2014.
I hope you enjoy them :)
(just bc vine made me do it lol. not actually a fan of this song, it's just catchy in the last minute or so)
Okay, but this is getting depressing...summer is almost over.
I refuse to let this one go so quickly! I've got around 2 weeks left and I will make the most of them!!!
Alright, so now on to my latest music loves.
I hope you guys enjoy them!
Definitely been loving 5SOS lately. Bought their album and I really fell in love with it! Heartbreak Girl, Don't Stop, Amnesia, ugh allll of them!
And for everyone thinking, "Yeah, exactly what we need, another 1D," please just take a second and actually give the album a good listen. It's not your average pop boy band. They are a rock band, some pop thrown in there, but more along the new age Good Charlotte/All Time Low/Green Day type sound (in my opinion anyway). You might surprise yourself. All you can do is listen, and if you don't like, just don't continue...but it's worth a try anyway right??
I am trying to get my website altogether so I'm sorry that this post is a little late! I just really want to make the switch so everything can all be on the same site as soon as possible, but at the same time, I want everything to look perfect--layout, graphics, etc. So look forward to that! I will let you know when it is up and running!
This is my last week in LA! I'm actually working on creating a website that will hopefully be ready soon so that I can share my best pictures/moments from my summer out here on the West Coast!
So, I only have 2 weeks left in LA...that's crazy! I leave at the beginning of August.
But wait, I have some pretty exciting news. So I wrote an article about Rihanna celebrating the World Cup with the German soccer team, which you can see here.
It was shared on Facebook and Twitter, as always, and on Facebook, my article has over 500,000 likes and over 5,000 shares!!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?! Is that a joke?? How is that possible?
I was so ecstatic when I saw that...absolutely crazy!
Anyway, I want to share my picks with you guys for this week! They're all Bombay Bicycle Club...been loving them recently!
I can't believe that it's already July! I remember when I was in school (as in middle and high--not university), I would always think of the 4th of July as a time to really make sure I enjoy my summer from that time on because that marks the halfway point lol. Even in college, especially this summer because I'm interning, I'm really trying to enjoy my off days and weekends as much as possible!
And, if you didn't know, I'm vlogging my summer in LA! Here is my latest video when I took a trip to Dana Point and Laguna Beach! Check it out:
Go watch my other vlogs too if you want to see what else I've been up to! I've hiked to the Hollywood sign, seen Ryan Gosling collaged leggings (yes, you read that correctly), and went to a music festival!
Anyway, here are a few of my summer songs I listen to when driving or chilling!
